Nasscom launches platform to promote partnerships between India and US

BENGALURU: The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) has launched Nasscom Launchpad in New Jersey, to promote cross border trade through partnerships.

Through this platform, jointly with VentureLink@NJIT and Choose New Jersey, Nasscom aims to facilitate partnerships between New Jersey and India and promote technology-based foreign direct investment between the two regions.

So far companies such as Batoi Systems, Eminenture, Mucheo, NeenOpal Inc, ITSYS Solutions have participated in the Launchpad.

Nasscom, the lobby for India’s $191 billion IT-BPM industry, would focus on providing a platform for member companies to use as a home base while exploring opportunities to do business in New Jersey and the greater New York area.

Member companies will gain a hands-on understanding of market opportunities within the New Jersey tech ecosystem, assistance with site selection, government regulations, incentives, and tax planning to establish permanent operations in the region while operating out of their home location in India.

This initiative would also facilitate business partner matchmaking and assistance with introductions with prospective clients, said Nasscom in a press release.

“This is yet another milestone programme for Nasscom that will act as a prominent catalyst for the global expansion of Indian IT companies. In the wake of the current pandemic, it is challenging to engage potential partners. While things normalise, it is imperative that business interactions continue in the new normal. I am confident that this programme will boost opportunities available for Indian companies and we can play a role in their growth plans globally,” said Shivendra Singh, vice president, Nasscom.
