BJP ramps up digital campaign to amplify PM Modi, Amit Shah rallies

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will have a hybrid model of campaigning for the last two phases of the West Bengal assembly polls, given the surge in number of Covid-19 cases, BJP IT head and West Bengal co-incharge Amit Malviya announced on Tuesday. The PM will have his last set of rallies on Friday in Murshidabad, Birbhum, Malda and South Kolkata.

At about 65 locations across the districts that will vote in the upcoming phases, facilities for relaying the PM’s speeches will be set up, the BJP leader said, adding that people from booths and mandals and different organisational levels of the party structure will be involved.

The same format will be followed for the home minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda‘s programmes. Shah will be visiting the state on April 22 and 24 and Nadda on April 25 and 25, party sources said.”It is our commitment to the people of the state and despite the situation, we want to make sure there is a two way dialogue and people have all the information before they cast their vote,” Malviya said.
