Amit Shah takes pot shots at Akhilesh Yadav

‘Dreaded criminals and mafia decimated carefully’ by chief minister Yogi Adityanath ‘will come out of jails if a Samajwadi Party government assumes power’ in UP ‘even by mistake,’ Union home minister Amit Shah has alleged.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav was ‘having sleepless nights’ as the voting in the first phase has ‘laid the foundation’ for BJP to secure more than 300 seats, Shah claimed during rallies in Bhojipura, Aonla and Tilhar on Friday. The seats go to polls in the second phase on Monday.

“The change in UP’s law and order would not have been possible by SP, BSP or Congress governments because it is the compulsion of parivaarvadis and caste-based parties to protect criminals. BJP is not a caste party,” Shah said.

“Under Akhilesh Yadav’s government the entire state was reeling under the terror of Azam Khan, Ateek Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari. Today, they are behind bars. Even by mistake, if SP government comes to power, all mafia and criminals will come out,” he alleged, while reeling out statistics to claim law and order had improved in UP. Parties ‘working on the principle of family first’ cannot give opportunities to youth. “Akhilesh Ji followed Neta Ji, after him another Ji will come.
