Surgery for actor Darshan planned on December 11, lawyer tells Karnataka High Court

The doctors have planned to perform a surgery for Darshan’s back pain on December 11, the High Court of Karnataka was informed on Monday.

Senior advocate C.V. Nagesh, appearing for the actor, made this submission before Justice S. Vishwajith Shetty during the hearing of the petitions filed by Darshan and other accused persons in the Renukaswamy murder case.

Meanwhile, Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) P. Prasanna Kumar told the court that Darshan had actively participated in the fatal assault on Renukaswamy by kicking on the victim’s private parts and chest with his legs.

Another accused, actress Pavithra Gowda, had assaulted the victim with her slipper, contended the SPP while quoting the statements of eyewitnesses recorded by the police.

Samples of DNA and technical evidences are overwhelming to establish active participation of Darshan and other accuser in the alleged murder of the victim after ensuing kidnap of victim by deceitful means.

Later, Mr. Nagesh clarified to the court that the actor has no missed the interim bail given to him on medical grounds stating that it was not his decision on fixing the date for surgery as the doctors have to decide it based on medical conditions.

The SPP had alleged that Darshan had misused the interim bail given as the actor had not undergone surgery for which the court had ordered his release.

After competition of the hearing, Justice Shetty reserved orders on bail pleas.
